TENERIFE
In 2015 we started up our second plant, in the Canary Islands, Spain.
It is a 9 tpd plant that started production with 6 tpd and was expanded to 9 in 2017.
The production of sodium hypochlorite in this plant replaced the transport and storage of liquefied chlorine gas that was imported from the mainland to the island of Tenerife.
The hypochlorite produced is used for the purification of water, swimming pools, domestic consumption, etc.
The plant is within the facilities of a port in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, which allows it to be very efficient in supplying salt.
