OUR ADVANTAGES

Our plants are built in modules, which allows quick installation on site and speeds up all project times.

The membrane technology of the plants uses BipEk electrolyzers, owned by AVS Technology, for plants up to 30 tpd, and for larger plants we incorporate electrolyzers from other manufacturers.

Our plants produce:

  • Primary products: chlorine gas, 32% liquid caustic soda and hydrogen gas.
  • By-products: sodium hypochlorite up to 190 g / l, hydrochloric acid 32%, caustic soda up to 50%.

The modular system  for the manufacture of small and medium-sized plants, in addition to facilitating their assembly, makes it possible to produce all these products in the place where they are used, for example in water purification or effluent treatment plants or within other Industrial facilities. In this way, logistics are simplified and environmental pollution and transport and storage risks are reduced to a minimum.

The main inputs for production in our plants are: water, electricity and salt, so the ease of assembly and its small scale allow choosing its location taking into account the availability of these inputs at the lowest possible cost and the proximity to the points of consumption or use of the final product.

In addition to manufacturing plants, we are experts in the engineering of chlor-alkali production processes, for any size of installation, for which we do:

  • FEED (Front End Engineering Study)
  • Basic engineering
  • Engineering for plant expansion
  • Engineering for new specific processes

AVS technology and approach in the design and construction of chlor-alkali plants have a very important benefit in the care of the environment.

Membrane technology has replaced old mercury plants around the world, in line with the UN Minamata Convention.

Our plants do not generate toxic effluents

OUR WORKSHOPS

Our  workshops are located in South America, Uruguay, 5 minutes from the International Airport and 40 minutes from the Port of Montevideo, where our plants are shipped to the world.

The modules of our plants are manufactured in the “Parque de las Ciencias”, an industrial park that operates under the Free Zone regime, which allows us a global operation, both from the purchasing and sales point of view.

Uruguay is a country 100% open to international trade, with first-rate logistics services, legal security, institutional stability and exemplary democratic quality.

MODULAR PLANTS TO PRODUCE CHLOR-ALKALI AND ITS DERIVATIVES

In the case of plants with a capacity of 30 tons per day of Chlorine or less, AVS integrates its own bipolar electrolyzers “single-element” concept, BipEk.

Our BipEk Electrolysers were designed to be operated with simplicity and safety, without the need for expert personnel.

Our modular plants with BipEk Electrolyzers are the best solution for those customers who want to replace their current purchase of finished product, and have it on their own site, for example to produce:

  • Chlorine gas: to be applied directly in the water of water treatment plants, for the disinfection of the water.
  • High quality sodium hypochlorite and concentration up to 190g / l: to be used by manufacturers of bleach or for water purification.
  • Hydrochloric acid 32%: to be used by large industries in their production processes, and / or in the cleaning of their equipment.
  • Caustic Soda 32%: as long as hydrochloric acid is produced, the plant will have the best quality caustic soda available.

Plants installed with BipEk Electrolyzers, AVS design, have the following advantages:

  • In plants, the trafo-rectifier and all their consumptions are powered at low voltage. This makes them safer and reduces investment costs.
  • The cells of the BipEk electrolyzer are robust, have nickel cathodes and titanium anodes, both with activated mesh of the same material.
  • The design of the plants allows easy and economical continuous operation. Our plants operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and for more than 350 days a year.
  • The BipEk electrolyzer, of the single element type, allows the electrolytic cells to be removed individually, thus reducing the downtime of the electrolyzer.
  • The BipEk electrolyzer is provided with an individual VMS (Voltage Monitoring System) for each electrolyzer, which allows monitoring the energy consumption through the individual voltage of each electrolytic cell.
  • Usually more than one electrolyzer per plant is installed, which allows equipment redundancy that gives more production safety.
In our plants there is no chlorine under pressure, which guarantees maximum safety for the environment and for the operating personnel.
  • In our plants, the hypochlorite production system is sized to absorb all the chlorine produced, in addition to the safety that this means, a high quality hypochlorite is obtained with a concentration of up to 190g / l.
  • Our plants are supplied with an effluent treatment system, designed to recover the greatest amount of fluids to the process and to be able to safely dispose of the minimum amount of effluent.
